Coaching Selection Process 2024/25
Applicants will be contacted for interviews and head coaches will be selected shortly after the application deadline closes.
All Coaches will need to ensure that their coaching qualifications are valid prior to the season start.

CONSENT TO DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
Upon Coaches being selected, applicants will be required to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check from their local Police Detachment, or online, where it can be completed and processed prior to final coach selection. Please see the link under the Coaching Staff tab.
All team staff will be required to complete the online Respect In Sport for Activity Leaders or have the in-class Speak-Out certification.The link is under Coaching Staff tab on our website.
As per OWHA regulations, all teams will be required to have a minimum of 1 female team staff ON THE ROSTER and the HGHA Executive may pair coaches to allow for that.
HGHA policy states that there is a minimum of one female rostered staff on the bench or ice at all practices and games.
The HGHA will assist head coaches in picking assistants, trainers and managers carefully.
There is a maximum of 5 rostered staff permitted per team for the year.
It is an excellent idea to have two females and two trainers rostered to ensure that your team is covered for all games and practices.
