The Huntsville Sting U13-black team has entered the Chevrolet Good Deeds Cup this year. It is a contest open to any U11,U13 or U15 team in Canada, and it is a challenge to do the most good deeds possible in the 6 weeks from January 19th to March 3rd.
The team and their friends that complete the most good deeds win $100 000 for the charity of their choice! At the time of writing, 2 weeks in, the Huntsville Sting team is top of the leaderboard!!!
The Charity that the team has chosen to support if they are able to win, is Food4Kids Muskoka. It is a new program in town, that provides bags of food each Friday to students needing extra support over the weekend. At this time they are providing 76 bags of food per week, with a goal to reach 200 families by the end of the school year. You can read more about what this amazing program is doing in our local schools here: https://www.food4kidsmuskoka.ca/
While the team has been busy both individually and together doing good deeds, the community can also help! If you have a social media account set to public, on facebook, instagram, youtube, tiktok or twitter, you can post a photo or a video documenting a good deed with these tags:
Alternatively you can send the team a picture or a video of your good deed to their facebook page 4560 Huntsville Sting U13-black, or to team manager by email at email@example.com
