Coaches and Staff Training and Certification
Team Staff qualifications are defined in the OWHA Qualifications Requirements document.
Coaches, Trainers and Dressing Room Monitors/Managers must:
Dressing Room Monitors/Managers
- Complete Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders course.
- Complete Gender Expression and Identity course.
- Have a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) and Declaration document submitted and processed via the screening portal.
Coaches
- Complete Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders course.
- Complete Gender Expression and Identity course.
- Have a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) and Declaration document submitted and processed via the screening portal.
- Complete the Hockey Canada Online Checking Course.
- Complete the qualification courses based on the team division and category.
